Used as a sedative in cases of treating swelling of the head, hooves, aggressive sows, transportation, minor surgeries (such as dehorning, velvet antler removal, tooth extraction), and as a pre-anesthetic for major surgery (foetus removal, major surgery, etc.)

– Cattle: For intramuscular injection

Dose 1: 0.25 ml per 100 kg body weight; sedation, minor activities

Dose 2: 0.5 ml per 100 kg body weight; minor activities. Animals usually stand still

Dose 3: 1 ml per 100 kg body weight; larger activities. Animals lie down

Dose 4: 1.5 ml per 100 kg body weight; larger activities

Animals should fast for a few hours before administration

– Horses: 4 ml per 100 kg body weight for intravenous injection, or 10 ml per 100 kg body weight for intramuscular injection. For larger activities, it is advisable to combine with other formulations

–Sheep: 0.15 ml per 10 kg body weight for intramuscular injection

– Swine: 0.25 – 0.5 ml per 10 kg body weight

– Dogs: 0.15 ml per kg body weight for intramuscular or intravenous injection. Combination with ketamine: 0.1 ml per kg body weight and 6 – 10 mg ketamine/kg body weight

– Cats: 0.15 ml per kg body weight for intramuscular or subcutaneous injection. Combination with ketamine: 0.1 ml per kg body weight and 6 – 10 mg ketamine per kg body weight

Administration to animals with lung and/or heart diseases

Administration to animals with pyometra, as these animals are often hypersensitive to xylazine products
