The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has officially announced the abolition of three administrative procedures (APs) under its jurisdiction in the livestock production and veterinary sectors.
Accordingly, the abolished administrative procedures include: inspection and certification of the quality of imported animal feed; reduced quality inspection for imported animal feed; and state quality inspection of imported veterinary medicines.
Previously, all of these inspection procedures were carried out by agencies assigned by the Chairpersons of the Provincial People’s Committees.

This new regulation is intended to implement the Government’s updated legal framework on the Law on Product and Goods Quality, helping to remove unnecessary administrative barriers and optimize activities related to imported products.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is among the three ministries commended and recognized by the Government and the Prime Minister for meeting and exceeding the assigned targets.
The Ministry has also been tasked with drafting dedicated Government resolutions on reducing, decentralizing, and simplifying administrative procedures and business conditions within its scope of management.
The number of ministerial-level administrative procedures has been reduced from 267 to 148, accounting for only 26.67% of the total administrative procedures under the Ministry’s management.
