Composition
Each 1 ml contains:
Sodium chloride
Solvents ad.
Indications
Intravenous infusion of NATRIDETOX 0.9% INJ is indicated as a source of water and electrolytes. Potentially diuretic, depending on the clinical condition of animals
– Correction of water and sodium imbalance
– Treatment of metabolic alkalosis during and after surgery
– Rehydration during illness leading to excessive loss of water and sodium chloride during and after surgery
– Use when mixing other drugs
– Wound irrigation
Dosage
Intravenous injection, subcutaneous injection, or intraperitoneal injection as directed by a veterinarian
Dosage depends on the age, weight and clinical condition of the animal
Suitable for all animal species
Recommended dose: Maximum 50 ml solution per kg of body weight
For subcutaneous injection, a reduced dose is advised
Infusion rate should be adjusted to the individual animal’s needs
Contra indications
Use with caution in animals with heart failure, congestive heart failure, severe renal impairment, or clinical conditions with sodium-retaining edema
Intravenous infusion may cause fluid and/or solute overload, resulting in dilution of serum electrolyte concentrations, overhydration, congestion or pulmonary edema
