VIV ASIA 2025: Technology exchange and opportunities to bring Vietnam’s livestock industry to international level

From March 12 to 14, 2025, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand becomes the center of the Asian livestock industry with the event VIV ASIA 2025. This year’s event continues to affirm its strong appeal when gathering more than 1,500 leading brands in the field of livestock and aquaculture, including the notable participation of many Vietnamese enterprises.

VIV ASIA 2025 welcomed a large number of visitors, including significant participation from delegations from Vietnam.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Prasert Chantararuangthong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic and Social Affairs, outlined Thailand’s strategic vision for developing the food industry. With an investment of more than US$200 million, the plan aims to not only make Thailand a food processing hub in ASEAN but also reach the international level, entering the top 10 food exporting countries in the world by 2027.

The livestock and agricultural sectors play an essential role in the Thai economy. It is forecasted that by 2025, the total production value of the Thai agricultural market will reach about US$28.91 billion, with an average growth rate of 0.28% per year until 2029. At the same time, the GDP from the domestic livestock sector is expected to grow by 2.7% by 2025, contributing to the overall development of the agricultural sector. In Southeast Asia, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) is expected to reach 6.0%, bringing the total market value to approximately USD 531.88 billion by 2024.

Jeroen Van Hooff, Chairman and CEO of Royal Dutch Yarbers, highlighted Asia’s central role in the global food industry at VIV Asia. “VIV Asia is a key catalyst for Asia to become the driving force of the world’s livestock, agriculture and food production. With the potential to account for more than 50% of global agricultural output and an expected $8.4 trillion in food spending by 2030, Asia is emerging as an irreplaceable force in shaping the future of food,” he said.

On the morning of March 12, 2025, VIV ASIA officially opened in Bangkok, Thailand.

This time, VIV ASIA 2025 focuses on strategic topics such as disease management, biosecurity and regenerative agriculture, while introducing the most advanced technologies and solutions in four key areas: poultry, swine, aquaculture and dairy. The event is an opportunity for experts and businesses to update the latest trends in livestock, animal health, nutrition and smart farm technology, to adapt to the rapid changes of the industry.

One of the highlights of VIV ASIA 2025 is the participation of more than 1,500 leading businesses from all over the world such as France, the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Korea, Taiwan… businesses from the Asian region account for 46%. The event attracted about more than 50,000 visitors and investors during the three days of the exhibition.

In particular, this year’s VIV ASIA marked the impressive appearance of many Vietnamese brands such as Sagophar, Anvet, UV, Vietvet, Fivevet, VNF, Than Vuong, Winvet, … demonstrating a strong determination to expand market share and penetrate the international market. This event is a golden opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to introduce high-quality products, affirming the position and reputation of the Vietnamese livestock industry in the international arena.
