Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen has just signed and issued Plan No. 339/KH-UBND on preventing and controlling livestock, poultry and aquatic diseases in Hanoi in 2025.

The plan aims to proactively implement measures to prevent and control livestock, poultry and aquatic diseases with the motto of disease prevention as the main focus and timely treatment; combining the implementation of synchronous measures to closely manage and monitor diseases to villages, hamlets, and households raising livestock, poultry and aquaculture.
Early detection, localization, control, timely and thorough handling of dangerous diseases arising in livestock, poultry and aquatic products when they are still limited; especially for newly introduced diseases and pathogen variants; ensuring stable and sustainable development of livestock and aquaculture production and protecting people’s health.
The Hanoi People’s Committee has proposed 9 key solutions to control livestock and poultry diseases. There will be 2 mass vaccination campaigns for livestock and poultry: the first in March – April 2025 and the second in September – October 2025. Every month, additional vaccinations will be organized for newly emerged livestock, those that have not been vaccinated or have lost their immunity.
